We are the Distributors of the New Wine
REVEREND GORDON WILLIAMS, DECEMBER 2017

"WE ARE THE DISTRIBUTORS OF THE NEW WINE!" (JN. 14:12)
When Jesus, His mother and His disciples were guests at the wedding reception in Cana, Galilee, a great embarrassment occurred when they ran out of wine to serve the people with. Jesus' mother, Mary, said unto Jesus, “They have no wine...” And then His mother looked to the servants and told them, “Do whatever he tells you to do...”

Many people overlook this parable thinking that it is only about drinking wine. But Jesus is also talking about another kind of wine – the wine of the Holy Spirit. As new born babies, we are born into this worldNew Wine of the Holy Spirit | Rev. Gordon Williams | as empty wine skins; and God had purposed each one of us to be filled with the wine of the Holy Spirit (Lk. 5:37; Matt. 9:17).

John came to baptise with water, but Jesus came to baptise "with the Holy Spirit and fire" (Matt. 3:11). When we drink of the new wine of the Holy Spirit (Matt 3:11), He prepares us to "go out into the world to preach the gospel..." (Mk 16:15).

Jesus gave the same commandment to each of the seven churches: “He who has an ear, let him (her) hear what the Spirit says to the churches (Rev. 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6, 13, 22). Jesus assures us we will do even "greater works" than He; meaning not bigger, but much more of the same ministry that He did (Jn. 14:12-13).

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can have the confidence and boldness to do the same type of ministry that Jesus did. Ministry like offering unbelievers prayer for forgiveness of their sin; laying hands on the sick and praying for their healing; praying for people to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit with the "signs, wonders and miracles" following (Mk. 16–17; Rom. 12:6–8;1 Cor. 12:8–12). Can you imagine that? By faithfully praying with people for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, we are the distributors of Jesus' New Wine - the Holy Spirit! Amen!

Gordon receives invitations from all around the world to minister, and because of your faithfulness to financially contribute to our ministry, he does not charge fees to these churches or ministries that invite him, regardless of their size. Like the Apostle Paul, Gordon is led by the Holy Spirit, and asks for a love offering gift to allow him to continue to accept invitations anywhere in the world.

Please pray and continue to be a “cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:7) asking Jesus how you can contribute. All offerings and gifts are income tax deductible. Income tax receipts are sent out during February 2018.

Please continue to help us to increase the harvest of people of all ages into the Kingdom of God (Jn. 4:35).

“PRAYING IN TONGUES REMOVES FEAR AND DEPRESSION” (1 JN. 5:5)
At a meeting in North Bay, Ontario, a tall man explained his symptoms to me, “I feel defeated and depressed. I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, but I have not prayed in tongues since then.”

I explained to him how Paul wrote a letter to Timothy about that very same problem. “Hence I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you through the laying on of my hands, for God did not give us a spirit of fear but a spirit of power, love and self-control (2 Tim. 1:6 -7).

It was clear - he needed to stir up his Gift of tongues to remove his fear and depression; and to allow the Holy Spirit to move upon him. We prayed together, and within moments his tongues language was released. He prayed out loud speaking in the tongues language that the Holy Spirit imparted to him.

After prayer, he said excitedly, “I feel invigorated, and my depression has lifted!” He had received the joy of the Lord (1 Thess. 1:6) and the victory that overcame the world - faith in Jesus (1 Jn. 5:5). Amen!

“THE TIME HAD COME TO BECOME A SPIRITUAL MAN” (2 TIM. 1:7)
While I was in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, I went for breakfast with a young man in his 30’s who was what I called a perpetual student, since he had studied at four Bible Colleges and two Seminaries.

From our conversations, I learned that he had a problem: he was afraid of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4). Being a bible student, I pointed out that Jesus Himself said that it was a necessary part of being a born-again Christian. And also that our tongues languages are proof that we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us.

He rebutted, “I have studied under many godly men who do not believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is necessary to be a Christian. “They may be godly men," I explained, "but they are not ‘spiritual men’ since they refuse to believe what Jesus describes as a normal Christian - born again with the signs following (Mk. 16:17–18).

"The Holy Spirit only gives good gifts, and there is nothing to fear!" I assured him. I suggested that it was time for him to become a “spiritual man” and be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

He agreed and we prayed for him to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. He began to speak in tongues with little effort as the Holy Spirit enabled him. His fear vanished and was replaced with his new spiritual tongues! He is now a "spiritual man." Amen!

“SET FREE FROM SWEARING AND THE FEAR OF ALCOHOL" (GAL. 5:1)
At a service in a Mennonite Church in Brussels, Ontario, a man described himself to me as a “dry alcoholic.” He lived in fear of losing control of his life again, and falling back into the addiction of alcoholism. He told me he had been born again when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour at an Alcoholic Anonymous Meeting (AA).

He said, “I want to stop swearing, but I lacked the power in my life to do it.” I explained that he needed to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit to have control over his mouth. With the power of the Holy Spirit, he could resist swearing, and the terrible fear of wanting to drink alcohol would go away.

He prayed with me to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and then fell to the floor speaking in his new tongues language. While on the floor, he opened his eyes and looked at me and said, “What a spiritual high! I’ve never felt anything like this before!” We rejoiced together thanking Jesus for his new tongues language, and for his new found freedom against alcohol addiction. The Holy Spirit is what Jesus calls the “New Wine” (Lk. 5:37–39) and a required part of our Salvation so that we can live our life without fear. Amen.

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love" (1 John 4:18).

If you, your family and/or friends would like to receive either Salvation, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, a Gift of the Holy Spirit, Healing, Deliverance, etc., I invite you come to one of our house meetings or contact me. Blessings to you and your family!

Yours in Jesus,

Rebuked for not Praying for the Horse, Nellie!
Pastor and Veterinarian Brent McLaughlin wrote: I attended a farm where years ago I had prayed for the owner and his wife to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. As I prayed with them to receive, they both struggled to speak in their tongues languages.

I had been back to see them on several occasions after that, and they were open to me praying for their horses, but they weren't open to pursuing any spiritual growth for themselves.

Assuming that they were lukewarm in their walk with the Lord, I didn't think it would be a good idea to pray out loud for their horse, Nellie, who required a dentistry procedure. So I chose not to pray, and continued to treat her.

That was a mistake – the horse was unruly and I had to use excessive anesthetics to manage her behaviour. After we struggled through the dental work, the owner came right out and said, “The reason Nellie acted up was because you forgot to pray for her!”

Since I couldn’t deny this, I reluctantly replied, “thank you” and excepted his candidness. But inwardly, I was quite amused. This was not the first time, nor the first client who had rebuked me for NOT praying for their animal!"

Bring the Little Children to Me and do not Forbid them!
At our meeting in Fenelon Falls Ontario, two women (mother and daughter), had come to me after it had ended. They had asked if the daughter’s son, (and mother’s grandson), could receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I replied, “Yes, certainly if he wanted to do so.” (Both ladies had been previously baptised in the Holy Spirit with the proof of speaking in tongues languages.)

At the end of the meeting, they brought him to me to pray with as planned. I asked him, “Would you like me to pray for you and ask Jesus to fill your heart with the Holy Spirit?” He looked at me, nodded his head and replied, “Yes”.

He prayed along with me as we asked Jesus to forgive him for all the bad things (sin) he had done. I laid my hand on his head, and we prayed for him to receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:17; 19:6).

His mom and grandmother also joined in with prayer, praising Jesus for His goodness and grace. As the Holy Spirit came upon him, the young boy spoke out in his new tongues language with ease as he praised Jesus.

“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it” (Lk. 18:15-17)
