Hello friend,

Gordon's Holy Spirit ministry helps to "prepare the Saints" for a exciting relationship with Jesus and for their own ministries. For over fifty years, Rev. Williams has been successfully ministering and teaching on the Holy Spirit. If you have a question about the Holy Spirit, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, Tongues, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, or a Bible question, please contact Gordon.

If you have a prayer request (ie. healing, special need, financial need, prayer for family or friend, desire to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues), please contact us so we can pray for you. We also love to read your praise reports as well!

Ministry Message for December 2016

Jesus' Christmas Gifts are Amazing Gifts of Grace.

I was asked a few years ago by some friends, “What is the most expensive Christmas Gift that you've ever received?”
I thought for a few moments, and surprising to myself, I answered, “Just under $20 billion!”

They laughed at me and said, “You’ve got to be kidding!” I answered, “No, to be accurate, it was exactly: $19,470,400,000.00.” “Who in the world would give you something that expensive?” I explained that this is the amount Jesus paid for my sin in His “Parable of the Unforgiving Servant” (Matt. 18:23–35).

How can any person pay back that amount of money? It seems astronomical, but this is today's gold price, and the average price we all owe God for our sin. Only those who have not sinned need not pay - which means everybody owes God! (Rom. 5:12).

However, there is good news! Jesus came as God in the flesh (Jn. 1:1) to save us (the world) from sin. And that is the "real reason for the season", and why we even celebrate Christmas in the first place!

Ministry Articles for December 2016

It's Hallelujah, not Alleluia!
It is a big surprise to Christians when they learn that they are not praising God when singing or saying the word, "Alleluia". The confusion comes when the Hebrew word, "Hallelujah" is translated as Alleluia (without the H sound).

Most people are not aware that by dropping the H sound completely, it changes the meaning dramatically - from praise to criticism and disapproval!  In both Hebrew and Greek the word is spelled "hallelujah, halleluyah or halleluiah"...

Marriage Guided by the Holy Spirit.
Marital love is comprised of sexual attraction (eros love), family love (storage love) and best friend love (philos love). Without the Holy Spirit, any of these can be present independently in a relationship. But for there to be a permanent balance of these three aspects of human marital love, the Holy Spirit must be present, bringing another kind of love called agape love (God's love) - working through all the elements of a relationship, like the oil in a finely tuned engine...

The Devil Made Me Do It!
Recognizing our enemy, whose most successful strategy involves getting people to believe he doesn't exist, is critical to living the victorious, abundant life Jesus came to give us.

Unmasking and exposing Satan and his demons can render him powerless, as we come skillful in using the weapons God has given us. In order to properly explore this issue, we have to understand three foundational issues ...

Can the Holy Spirit do Something New that is Not in the Bible?
"When Jesus first sent the Holy Spirit to us, the phenomenon was likened to the coming of a "rushing might wind" and "there appeared to them tongues as of fire, Distributed and resting on each on of them" (Acts 2:2-3) In John 3:8 He said, "The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

With increased manifestations of the supernatural in our society, there is tremendous spiritual confusion. People are asking, "Can the Holy spirit do something new that is not in the Bible?"
No! Absolutely not! Never! Once of the most important reasons why God gave the Bible to us was to five us a "covenant" or "contract' describing the kind of things that He will and will not do.
Paul warns, "Do not go beyond what is written. Then you will not take pride in one man over against another" (1 Corinthians 4:6)...

Ministry News for December 2016

The Signs Following are Necessary for Deliverance Ministry (Mk. 16:16-17)
I received an invitation by a young mother to visit with her at her home in Oshawa, Ontario. She called me after listening to one of my teaching tapes regarding deliverance ministry. She told me her 22 month old baby boy was suffering from seizures and their doctor’s tests could not reveal any known physical problems.

When I arrived at her house, her mother was with her. I asked if they were born again Christians and baptized with the Holy Spirit. She told me they both were. I prayed with the young baby and took authority over the child; commanding any evil spirits to leave him and to go into the abyss where they belonged (Lk. 8:31). Then I prayed and asked Jesus to heal him.

After praying, I asked the mother if she had noticed anything peculiar or strange happenings in and around her home. She replied, “Oh, yes! We saw a white spirit upstairs. Could it have anything to do with a ouiju board?" she questioned.

“Most definitely!” I replied. Ouiji (wee-jee) boards, also known as spirit boards or talking boards, attract evil spirits into a home and attack those who are helpless, vulnerable and unaware of what is going on. Children are the most likely victims to fall into this category...

The Proof of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Lk. 18:27)
At a recent House meeting in Brampton, Ontario, a new couple had come for ministry. The wife mentioned that she had received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, while her husband had not. “How can you be sure that you have received the Holy Spirit?” he remarked. He had witnessed some bizarre things and had questions that needed to be answered first. I explained to them that the Holy Spirit gives us “self-control” including the “Fruit of the Spirit” (Gal. 5:22–23).

His wife was also concerned that she had really received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I asked her to speak in her tongues-language, and I was able to interpret - giving her the message. Then, I prayed with her husband to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Effortlessly, he began to speak in his "initial" tongues language as directed by the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4; Mk. 16:16–17).

Further, they told me that they thought they had demons in their house. So I went through their home and cast them out; only to go back that next Monday to cast out some more they found. Being concerned why there where still demons present, I asked them if they had gone to church that Sunday, and if so, where? She said, “We went to the Vineyard Church in Malton.”

The Holy Spirit Turns Our World Right-side Up!
When we receive the Holy spirit, we are receiving "the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead."

"If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through His Spirit which dwells in you. So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh or if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live" (Romans 8:11-13)

We have to be careful not to measure the experience of being baptized with the Holy Spirit with any experience that we have ever had before - because it's not like anything we've ever experienced. The proof is not in the emotions we may or may not have, but in the activities and passions that begin to characterize our lives: things like telling others about Jesus, evidence of ministry gifts beginning to flow through us, a passion for helping people in need and much more.

Every year we receive requests to help individuals and families who because of sickness, injuries, loss of jobs, unemployment and other reasons, cannot afford to celebrate Christmas. This means purchasing Christmas gifts, food and clothing as the Lord directs us.

Since we started our “Share Christmas Program", you have helped us to meet requests from people who know others - friends, family members, children, senior citizens, relatives, acquaintances and strangers needing help in Jesus name!

Please pray and ask Jesus what you should do in addition to your monthly support of our ministry. This is called “alms giving” where the angel told Cornelius, “Your prayer and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God” (Acts 10:4). Jesus takes it further when He said, “Truly, I say to you as you did it to the least of my brethren, you did it to me” (Matt. 25:40). Amen! May God bless you as you give!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!
